Within this chamber is a quasit, an evil-aligned familiar companion who will "help" with the quiz answers. However, he mentions that balsam is good for burns and this is not true; balsam cleans wounds. He may be misleading but he will join the party and attack on command.

In the current timeline of Faerun, Ilyn Toth is nowhere to be found so the player will have to pretend to be a close friend to fool the mirror. The Ornate Mirror is a construct and not naturally evil-aligned but it does need to verify the individual as an ally of Ilyn Toth before allowing passage and that is a sketchy individual. Players will need to show off their knowledge about alchemy and Ilyn Toth's enemies.

Baldur's Gate 3 is available now for PC. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on September 6th, 2023. A version for Xbox Series X/S is still in development.
