Hot tubs are so last decade because these days it's all about outdoor baths. Sumptuous, deep, bubble baths we can soak our cares (and aches) away while looking at gorgeous views and supping on a cocktail, a beer or a cuppa.

Here in Wales, we've got ample drinks, more than enough stunning views and comfy and luxurious places to stay and a cosy handful have bathtubs in the fresh air. Below, we've a list of places here you can book for that real self-care, relaxing retreat for whenever you need it.

There's gorgeous holiday accommodation set up on this Welsh working farm, found in the foothills of the Clwydian Range in an Outstanding area of Natural Beauty. They have three retreats, Cargo Cabin, Luna's Lookout and Wonder Wagon.

The Cargo Cabin, a recycled shipping container, sleeps two. It's has been cleverly converted into a luxury retreat with its own kitchenette, sleeping area and ensuite bathroom. Most importantly it has its outdoor bath which has proved so popular with guests who love to use it at night to make the most of our dark skies. Luna's Lookout, a very cool sustainable pod, has a Japanese deep soaking tub with jets and is big enough for two.

Buried in Eryri (Snowdonia National Park), this retreat sleeps two and is an idyllic romantic retreat with panoramic views. The tub is described as a hot tub, but it looks like a cool bathtub, so we'll let it sneak in! The cosy pod is stone's throw from Gwydyr Forest and Betws-y-Coed is just down the road to explore, too, as the rest of the national park - Y Wyddfa is around 19 miles away if you want to abandon the pod and get some exercise. The accommodation has wooden flooring underfoot, comfortable furniture and a chic style, providing a delicious atmosphere for snuggly evenings sipping hot cocoa in the glow of the wood burner. Or wake up for sunrise and get an alfresco breakfast.

A small site set in a three-acre meadow in a hidden wooded valley. It overlooks ponds and is surrounded by hedgerows and trees, a haven for wildlife. - so you can really reconnect with nature here. The farm is also close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay. The baths here are not at one particular cabin, and you have to book in advance to use the side-by-side tubs which have never-ending views to the rolling countryside. Choose from one of four (all sleep two adults and either three or two children) cabins which all have a fire pit, heating and double glazing, double beds with sprung mattresses and duvets.

Set in a private wooded location, this hideaway offers a total escape from the modern world. Hafod Hedd, which is Welsh for Peaceful Summer Dwelling, offers a unique opportunity for couples who want to go off-grid.
