LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) –A Flood Watch is in effect through 5 a.m. Wednesday for all of Clark County and Southern Nye County.

A low-pressure system over a good portion of the southwest will bring a slight chance of showers through Thursday.

Wednesday and Thursday are First Alert days. Higher elevated regions have the greatest chance of experiencing showers first with thunderstorms and scattered showers most likely forming between 2 p.m. and dissipating by 8 p.m.

By Friday, high pressure will return to the region, clearing out lingering moisture and pushing temperatures above normal for early June.

Expect triple-digit heat to return by the end of the week.
